Jim, Not sure where the post is or if was an email to me, but you mentioned looking for or knowing where to find Lemon Drop seeds for next year and I think that I might have suggested them for 2005 Open Fields. (my rememory sux) I've been saving seeds from my three Lemon Drop (C. baccatum) plants since Open Fields and now have a bunch dried. Not sure how many seeds I have, but they weigh about 3/4 ounce or about 20 grams. You probably know how many seeds per ounce, but I don't really have a clue. They are yours if you want them. More people have commented that they liked my smoked & unsmoked Lemon Drop than any other pepper powder and there is no way I can fill all the requests this year. I didn't pick a lot of your Fataliis for myself, but really liked them and hope you have them in '05 too. Ditto for the Orange Habs and Red Savina. Not sure if you would want to plant any more C. pubescens next year or not. They can be real heartbreakers as first year plants if the growing conditions aren't ideal. One of my California MSN pod-head friends had a 150 gram pod on a 1st year Yellow Rocoto. Hard to imagine that just 3 or 4 hot pepper pods could weigh over a pound! I picked 65 assorted C. pubs today & would guess got about 2 1/2 pounds total. It ain't me that makes it happen, it's all the great CH folks that show up that do! Consider this the first official invite for 2005 :-) Mark your calendars for Sept 24th & 25th. That last weekend in September seems to be the consensus. I also need two things from the list, if yawl don't mind.... 1) A list of suggested chiles to grow for next year. 2) Some suggested themes for the event. FoodTV said it would be at least 5 weeks before they knew an expected air date for the footage they shot. I have no idea how long the segment will be. Some folks said about 5 minutes, which means that 8 hours and 55 minutes of footage is going to get left on the cutting room floor :-/ I'll be sending Russ's poster out to him this week, though I've no idea when he'll be able to see it. I have no more information other than what has been on the list. Thanks again to one and all & hope to see you all again next year! -Jim C Mild to Wild(R)
