JohnT, > In my experience over 50 % of the C. pube accessions will blossom by late > May/early June from a Feb 15th start. It's getting them to set pods during > hot summers that seems to be the big problem. That actually makes sense - I had not associated rocoto pod set problems with too much heat (which make sense given where they originate). Last summer here was pretty crappy through the months of July and early Aug. so we did not see baking heat - this may be why those 4 plants did so well. The one I grew the year before (the parent to the other four) did not do so well but that summer was hotter. Darn - I just thought I knew waht I was doing the second time around rather than it being luck of the draw because of weather. Consider my bubble completely burst ;-) > The Coast To Coast Pepper Co. (Taylor Toilets div) will be shipping seeds to Franklin IN today. Are you shipping Jim rocoto seeds as well? I had sent him an email promising him some (likely go out Monday). Cheers, Kris
