To be compared to that ex Pommie in NZ is a compliment indeed! Hope Tony thinks so, as well. Marie came in and read the post, gave me a pat on the back, and said" an anniversary gift from Jim!" seeing as today she and I celebrate 56 years of being in love! Away back on Mar 4/49 we tied the knot, after going together from 1947! So we go back farther than a lot of CHers have been around! Gotta tell you about our latest great grandaughter, who just turned one.Her mother made some jalapeno squares(must get the recipe)and Kaitlin, after eating a bite of one, said " HOT" and finished off the whole thing, then asked for more! A budding chile head!! My grandson said she must take after Grumpa! My pet name from one of my granddtrs who made us a fantastic card for today. Glad it was a big success, Jim. Welcome back to reality! On a sad note, 4 of our RCMP oficers were slain yesterday near Edmonton while checking out a grow-op by the owner of that, who then killed himself. Sad day for our national police force, where I happen to have a few friends working. Cheers, old Doug & his beautiful wife, in BC
