> All of us only try to respond to what the public wants- they're demanding > (through sales) these goofy labels. I bet essentially 100% of them buy those goofy labels because the goofiness caught their attention and they thought, "This might be an interesting new sauce" (operative condition: NEW SAUCE). As opposed to thinking, "fantastic, another new label for that same sauce I've bought before -- I sure want my label collection to be complete." Usually vendors attempting to satisfy this market for collectors are sure to make it obvious and clear that, as collectors' items, they are providing different labels for the same identical product. E.g., I've seen some premium wines with 3-4 label variations, but all very clearly labelled with identity of contents. And maybe M&Ms chocolate candies come in different packages, but again no confusion whether it is some different product. --- Brent
