Russ...I do the same as Matt, only I add some of Jim C's chiles to MY 
chiles and grind those. I bought a fine mesh screen, actually a fine 
sieve with which to sift the chile powder through. Works just great, I 
get a sorta fine powder, suitable for shaking , but not as fine as 
JohnTs but then I believe that he invested in proper mesh screens.
