Hi John, I'm with you on the mild chiles as well. The only ones I don't like are jalapenos and bells when they have that really green taste. That just means that I have to let them get closer to where they are starting to turn before picking them. As for the plants, I might have gone a little overboard this year, with somewhere around 140 chile plants. Unfortunately, after a warm dry winter, we were hit with a cool, wet spring and early summer and last year the first frost hit in late September, so that excess of pepper plants still may not provide enough ripe fruit. The only chiles I have picked so far are sweet bananas, though I will be raiding the newmex plants for some chile verde this weekend. Dave
