Add rum. Heat oil in a large saucepan. Add green onion, chile and coconut; cook, stirring, until softened. Pour in strained banana-beef stock; cook over medium heat until bananas are tender, about 30 minutes. Serving piping hot with croutons. Makes 6 servings.
