Not being able to make it down to the chile festival because of work, my Chef and I arranged to spend the day yesterday down at Meadow View. Mr. Weaver and his wife Alma are some of the most down-to-earth people I've ever met. He gave us a tour of the property and then let us loose on his chile fields, where we spent 3 hours tasting, picking, and taking pictures/cataloguing chiles. After gathering around 14# of chiles between us, Alma invited us up to his house for some of the lemon drop ice cream (I think that was it) they served at the festival. I've got pictures of about 70 different chiles with labels I'm going to put in a photo album sometime soon... if anyone needs help identifying anything in the meantime let me know. Here's some of the nicer pictures.
