Thanks Matt, JohnT, Mary-Anne and Mike. JohnT your
question about light is important I forgot to say that
right at this time of year the sun drops behind the
front of our 2-story tract home in San Jose at about
11AM or so. The house faces South. So total light
decreases from here on. Plants are in back yard
around built-in pool, so I think they get some
reflected warmth in the heat of Summer. After now,
nothing changes with the plants. They all have the
light conditions. There is no diff. in how I treat
them either. But it's wierd how some produce
acceptably while others get ony a couple flowers. I
also use 100% premium organic potting soil and organic
fertilizer. I'd hate to calculate what price per
pound is for these things. :) Anyway, I don't care
about the organic anymore, I just want a good yield.
Why do you introduce a fungus to the roots, JohnT?
Oh, I leaned why not to overwater. The leaves turn
yellow. I always wait until I see droopy leaves.
And I guess I'll try the sulphur addition, Mike. It
may be too late, but I'm not getting any production
now on these few anyway, might as well try.
Thanks a lot you all for taking the time to respond so
completely! John S.
