Hey - come on ... I'm having way too much fun skiiing during March break
at Mont Tremblant. Let's see, how did it go ... oh yeah,

Sunday got here at about 10am and it started to rain cats and dogs
... skied anyway.
Sunday noon .. rain stopped after lunch, wind picked up to about 40 kph
(25 mph) just to make sure that the soaking of the outer clothing made
it right to the skin ... skied anyway.
Sunday afternoon .. almost pleasant once you got used to being wet, cold
and sweaty at the same time ... kept skiing.

Monday morning .. beautiful start .. about -2C, soft snow, just about all
runs open.
Monday afternoon ... guess what - rain again, you've got it, skied anyway.
Monday night ... rained solidly for about 5 hours and then did a snap freeze.
In bed asleep so couldn't ski ... ;-)

Tuesday morning .. howling winds (60-70 kph at the peak) and everything
pretty much glare ice .. you know the theme now ... skiied anyway.
Tuesday noon ... over half the resort shut down due to either wind or ice ..
yeah, skied anyway.

Wednesday - almost a normal Eastern Canada ski day. Cold, windy, a
nice layer of fresh snow on top of the ice and a mix of flurries and random
sunshine.

Looking forward to Thursday ;-)

Now why would I want to move somewhere nice and warm and sunny where
the weather is even remotely predictable ...

Cheers,
Kris

Oh yeah - to keep on topic - the only way I could handle each day was the
outdoor hot tub at the hotel and my special spice grinder mix (lots of
shredded chipotle and smoked hab mixed with black pepper corns, dehydrated
ginger and horseradish). If the burn doesn't get ya, the ginger and horseradish
at least take care of any developing sinus problems ;-)
