Hey all - I have my first in-the-ground garden planted. I was able to get a "community garden" plot which are free to San Jose area residents on waiting lists. The cool thing is that there was no waiting list for the smallest of them only 4 blocks from my house. It works out perfectly. Anyway while the other three gardeners in the garden are planting a normal variety of summer veggies, I guess I overdid it on chiles. Don't know why but I stuck about thirty-five of them in with 10 heirloom tomatoes and a single squash. Put some herbs in too and lettuces. My question is this: I have a tomatillo in there too. It is flowering. Should I snap the flowers off like I do with chiles, to direct the energy to growing the plant at this early stage? Then when it grows up let the flowers set, while at the same time cutting nitrogen off? Thanks, John
