I make it a policy to turn down anyone who solicits me for funds. 
That way I chose who I give to and when. If you say yes just once, 
you get put on a sucker list.

About 2 months ago I received an email from a GI in Iraq with a sob 
story about how lonely he was and he did not have a credit card to 
order anything with and how much he would enjoy some of my hot sauce 
and he would share it with his friends, bla, bla, bla...

Sent him a note back saying how I was almost in tears after reading 
his letter. Also informed him we don't take credit cards anyway and 
included a link to the order page.

He never said thanks for the package of goodies I sent him. Maybe he 
ate a bullet too?
