Cameron is alive and well, we bumped into each other on a local Subaru board. Each of us was using a different handle there, and it was funny to realize who he was, then tease him until he recognized me. Ob Chile: (anyone remember that one?) Since my father died last December I've moved back into the family house to watch over Mom, so this year I'm growing in the home gardens. I have a mix of peppers, covering most of the basic hotties but also a lot of mild and salad peppers, bells and pimentos, etc. Most are bearing pretty well, the temps have been good for blossom and fruit set, but since it's been rainier than usual the ripening is slow. I have only one red super chili, everything else is still green. I've been picking green just to lighten some of the plants and encourage foliar growth. My habs are growing sideways, wider than they are tall. So there's some fresh heat already slipping into my meals. And it's not yet August, this looks like it will be a good growing season. - A
