I believe the heat this summer all over North America is to blame for 
the lousy chile crops, which everyone seems to be experiencing. If you 
think about where most of the chiles which we all seem to be growing 
come from, it is mountainside originally. Along with just about everyone 
else, we, here in coastal British Columbia, have had a heat wave, which 
is still with us. Tomatoes, on the other hand, are producing like crazy, 
and I put in 4 different varieties on our deck, they are all loaded, and 
starting to colour. Good thing I have so many dried chiles from last 
year or I would run outta my own powder to mix with Jim C's! And that 
would never do! I read about strange clouds over the south pole, with 
winds blowing over 200 kms per hour and scientists are still trying to 
figure what this may mean for our climate particularly in the southern 
hemisphere. Hopefully not Henny Penny, and the falling sky! Cheers, Doug
