<<Some people are just strange and then there are those others.. I still
have most of your recipes archived and thought (still do) you were
adventurous - personally I like it! How the heck are ya gonna learn if
you don't try? As far as I am concerned post away - sure as heck beats
a dead list serve! How about the Colonel, don't suppose either he or
his wife ever cooked something that someone didn't like - boy for the
days of old - oops!

Hang in there kido

cheers
Chet>>

Chet I must comment on this one, Steve and I were fortunate enough to
meet Col. Ian and his wife Muoi in Korat (Ubon Ratchashima back in the
mid nineties. We were back in Isan (NE Thailand) this past Dec/Jan
and tried to locate Muoi, but to no avail. I contacted the Uniersity
where he taught before his leaving us and they didn't know
either-basically a new guard. *sigh*

They were most generous with their knowledge.

I remember back when I first joined CH in the mid 90's and a guy
bashed me for posting some of my Thai recopes. VBG He said all the
Thai recipes had been posted and to stop. VBEG I told him cooking
and cuisines were a constant evolution. He harassed me for a while
off list and Garth and others "took him out to the wood pile".

Say whatever happened to Sir Garth?

Awww the memories of long ago friends in the chile patch.

Now back on topic-have any of you found seeds for any of these chiles:

Espelette (Barritz area of France)
Aleppo (Aleppo, Syria)
Pardon (Galicia region of Spain)

I really would love to grow them for some culinary adventures
