Linda, I have never drunk a bloody Mary with horseradish. Where have you? Usually it's Tabasco. To avoid this, I bring my own spice. I too don't see the point in Dijon. It's like dampening the natural spiciness of mustard - which is naturally spicy! It should be enhanced not supressed!

PS: this is fun: having a day off, and only reading C-H stuff ......!!!!!!! And I will admit I don't know what a Bloody Caesar is.. Please elucidate?

I hate horseradish and I hate Dijon mustard. In the U.S. they make a
Bloody Mary spicy by adding gobs of horseradish!! yuck! Plus they don't
even know what a Bloody Caesar is.

I love hot mustard though, and have a hard time finding one I like.

Linda

Rael, you should never admit publicly that you don't like horseradish.
Passing out is normal for horseradish-heads, but you come back to
consciousness almost immediately.

And Sandy, I'm with you. If you like hot chile, you should be down (as my
kid says) with horseradish. My dad grew it in our back yard. It grows
well. He stuck it in a blender with some vinegar, whuffed it and fainted.
That's how I know the above to be true.

See, Rael, your reaction to that evil horseradish was the same as I have to
fire-eater chiles...fear of loss of control of functions that should be
retained ;^)
