Jim, Granted the folks that attend have to make the event but if you didn't put in the growing time, the event wouldn't occur. I've so enjoyed reading about it, that I really want to go next year and if indeed you do decide to move it to the last week in September, I would personally prefer it, even if it does leave you open to frost.
