While I am certainly familiar with Admiral Bob's references to long
pig - I suspect he got the name the same whence I got it - from the
Island tales of Robert Louis Stevenson.

There is actually a cookbook out for how to do long pig. Or there was.
In the mid-80s I saw it for sale at Cen-Con (a Science Fiction
convention) called ... "To Serve Man: a Cookbook for Humans"
Have to put a lot of chilies with that - and I'm still not sure I
could hack it. Unless I was starving.
