I don't want to start a war here but personally I believe any ears and 
eyes left over from the war should be salt-cured with appropriate spices 
suitable for long pig and hung to dry.
Jim Campbell's Red Savina Habanero chile powder would be a welcome 
addition making for an enhanced and tasty treat not to mention killing
nearly all the cooties that the salt and other spices didn't get.
These items can be very tasty, sliced paper thin served with a drizzle 
of olive oil and a nice cheese and bread.
