Re: [CH] Way off topic, but a great idea.

Hi Dave,
I'm here in Las Cruces, and as far as the tire chains go, if they
don't fit, that'd be the reason to get rid of them. 99% of the time
I'd say you wouldn't need them, but the weather has been weird this
past year. Record breaking rainfall before August last year,
tornadoes touched down in September, and a very cold winter with a
lot more snow than 2". And Hatch looked like New Orleans after
Katrina hit - the entire town was under 4 ft of water, El Paso
flooded, Rio Grande spilled over its banks - you get the idea.
On the whole we have great weather, but when it's bad it's really
bad, and it generally hits all at once, i.e. torrential downpours,
snow and ice storms. The upside is that it usually only lasts a few
days at most.
Give Ray and I a holler when you get moved - there's a lot of good
chow to be sampled. Once you try the good southern NM mexican food,
you'll notice that even the northern NM food doesn't quite hold up
(even though it can be okay).... *grin*
