Hi Sandy, I was only halfway kidding about you being able to handle the 7-Pod. It's just that a little goes a long ways for we lovers of moderate heat. I love pushing my limits though. How to identify.... am guessing that seeds for Chris' plants probably came from Allen Boatman or maybe Mick at Kato's. Here's pix of 7-Pod from Allen's gallery: http://www.linuxis.net/gallery/album75/7_pod1a Originally from Trinidad I think. Resembles several varities that I grew for first time this year. Bhuts, nagas, scorpions etc. Bumpy outer skin texture and very heavy placenta oil. Hot! The ones I grew looked like this: http://www.fototime.com/F1BBCA29262467B/standard.jpg And some other similar ones from this year: http://www.fototime.com/254D884BF96F196/standard.jpg http://www.fototime.com/C7903812A356CF0/standard.jpg Unfortunately I didn't isolate or bag blossoms for pure seeds. I'm overwintering them though and will bag next year. Grasshoppers got more of the ripe bhuts than I did: http://www.fototime.com/33F45C3AD676953/standard.jpg I fermented most of the Datils: http://www.fototime.com/98603F1563296A3/standard.jpg JohnT Buck Private SandyO Moderate Corps ----- Original Message ----- From: Sandy Olson To: ChileHeads Sent: Thursday, November 22, 2007 5:17 PM Subject: Re: [CH] Tomato Apricot 7-Pod Chipotle Salsa Whoa...John T. I'm blushing just reading the recipe and account of this 'dark side' pepper! To what is attributed the name "7-Pod Pepper"? Is that the number one eats in a lifetime? Or before meeting one's just reward? Or does each plant yield only 7 pods? Inquiring minds want to know...also what color and shape are these darlings? All this information will assist me to avoid it all costs....or at least while sober and vertical ;^) I'm still thinking the hab is the hottest thing around.
