Oh, man, that's sweet. We lived near the casino when we were in ABQ and really liked the fact that they kept the road there (Tramway) nicely maintained (although people haul ass on the road; not fun when you're on a bicycle, but I digress...). That whole area was (was, mind you) really open with the Sandia mtns. to the east. Really beautiful, assuming you like desert. Great outdoor arena for concerts, etc. Not a gambler (I probably would be if I gave myself the chance, ex-drunk-extraordinaire that I am), but the casino was pretty cool looking, and they were getting their golf course up and running as we left in '05. Probably pricey, but I'd book a room at the casino hotel. Right by Interstate 25 which will take you into town; old town south and to your right; everything else to your right. Santa Fe is right up 25 the other way, about 1 hour. Good location. Should be a great show/time...assuming it isn't snowing. (what do you wanna bet, Brother Jim C? 50-cents says it does.) Peace, Hendrix, and Chiles.......
