You should be okay this year. Last year it was the 2nd week in August 
because of a cold spring. Chiles in the Hatch area are about 6" high. Neat 
place in ABQ called the Chile Addict. It's at 325 Eubank Blvd. NE between 
I-40 and Central Avenue. Kind of pricy, but they have everything imaginable 
that's chile related including frozen Hatch chiles. Website:
