Aha! For one, we agree... I much prefer red Jalapenos... in fact, around these parts most people had no idea you could even get RED jals until we started selling them. lol. I had a hard time wrapping my head around the idea that someone might want to eat unripened fruit, but it seems to be quite popular in the pepper world.

I'll try that Luv butter when the ripe serranos come in this season, but for now, the only reds I've got have been crushed in lime juice and I think that'll curdle the butter, eh wot?

Have you posted this "miga" recipe... I can try it with the serrano mash... see if maybe I change my mind knowing what to do with the nasty little things???
