I kept wondering why I wasn't seeing my reply come back from the list...
turns out I didn't reply to the list.  OOPS!  :-)

Perhaps by using nslookup(1)?  :-)

I'm not sure how much of this they'll need, but that should be more than
enough info.

host(1) is, AFAIK, unique to Unix (it's open soure).  nslookup is NOT
unique to Unix.....
