[CH] Looking for a favor in the name of science

To any of you who grow your own peppers, and are planning on attending
Open Fields this year, I could use a little help.

Many of you may have seen the x-rays of peppers I did for last year's
Open Fields raffle. If not you can see a few examples here
(http://openfieldsonline.com/stepup/).

I am trying to obtain as many different pod types and shapes
(varieties) as possible so I can x-ray, CT scan, and otherwise abuse
them for the sake of science (and possible financial exploitation in
the form of a book or prints).

If anyone would be so kind as to bring a pepper or 2 with them to Open
Fields, especially of the the less common varieties, I will take them
in and see what I can see. They don't need to be ripe but they should
be fully formed so that their structure is basically complete. If it
looks like what you were expecting then it's far enough along. Also,
since I will not be able to do anything with them until I get back to
work on the Monday following OF, green pods will probably survive the
trip in better shape.

If you're not planning on making it to Open Fields but have a pepper
you'd really like to see an x-ray of, feel free to send me one.
Contact me off list for the shipping address.

Thanks in advance for your help,

Jeff
