And the moral of that story is:
Never go ANYWHERE unless you know that there is gonna be a"stray
visiting fireman" in attendance. Just in case. Even one with NO ID is
better than none atall atall!
Once again, we will be elsewhere, and not at OF, sorry about that.
However we are heading to Winnipeg Manitoba for two weeks to visit # 1
daughter, and her growing family. Her eldest son phoned us to tell me
that his dear little Susi is going to add # 4 kid to their mix of 2 boys
and a gal. And given the time we will be there, we will hit three
birthday celebrations, dtr, sil, and that same grandson, all October
birthdays! So, next April we can add another great grandkid making six!
I live long enuf, we may even see a few more!
On topic, I have one HUGE almost 4 ft tall Thai Dragon, which is just
loaded with fruit, three other plants, Super chile, from a grocery store
sell out late spring when they were getting rid of stuff at end of
season for planting out. Great little beggars, fruit grows straight up &
when ripe red, very hot, and one poor little jalapeno from same store,
which is pretty slow, had 1 small fruit, and although there are a lot on
it, they are all small, about 2 1/2 " long. Hot, but I will not get many
so not counting on that one. Those poor plants were neglected badly, and
I got 'em all for less than 2 bucks, so can't complain. Going to have to
bring them inside this coming week, temps will hit below 50 so they will
not mature any further. Maybe!!
We leave day after Cdn Thanksgiving, Oct 14th which is also Canadian
voting day. Have to do the advance poll bit. Hope the weather is
wonderful for Open Fields, and good turn out. Cheers, Doug in BC
