It was another great year, and even though many familiar people couldn't make it, there were many new people as well.  The weather was perfect, no mud this year, just dust.  The crop was in good condition though still a bit green.

The cooking was as busy as ever!  I could have done a photo essay of Butch's from-scratch cooking alone.  Fortunately a lot of people were taking pics so we were sort of able to cover for each other.

I don't know who was supposed to provide the yellowjacket wasps this year but they let us down.

Today Linda is sharing pods with various chileheads at her school.  Here at work, I gave some fresh fatalis to the people who organized the pepper-eating contest last May 5 - as I suspected, neither of them had ever seen a fresh fatali before.
