All the way to Costco, Steve refused to tell me where we were going for lunch. Everytime I asked, he said "You'll see." I told him that it better not be somewhere that Trevor will give us trouble. He swore we weren't going any place like that.

So about 1 mile from the restaurant, I said "Where are we going for lunch?" and he said "SIngapore". I said why couldn't you tell me that all along so I could get in the mood, he said you can do that right now.

Anyway, we think was possibly the best visit this time! Trev got Pork Lo Mein, instead of his usual Chicken Lo Mein. Steve & I ordered Chicken with Ginger and Scallions and Squid Sambal. We got one bowl of white rice and one of brown rice. No drinks except water. Usually I get a Thai Iced Tea but I decided not to this time.

Well, the food was outstanding this time. Don't know why but it was. The Squid Sambal was hot but not horribly hot. We also got a small dish of sambal on the side to add to the Chicken.

I really thought that the Squid Sambal was going to be outrageously hot. I'm glad it wasn't that hot. It was a controlled heat. I didn't need any drinks to calm the mouth. I think that I've gotten much more tolerant over the years. I even put some chopped habanero on my peanut butter and banana sandwich the other day and also on my burrito that I made last night. My nose ran a tiny bit but nothing extreme.

Boy I can't wait to go back to the Singapore Restaurant. It is soooo wonderful.

If anyone ever comes to New Jersey and they go through Raritan, they must go into the shopping center with the Stop & Shop and go into Singapore Malaysian Restaurant. The owner is the sweetest guy and remembers what you order. The food is just outstanding and you can definitely tell the heat is in there!

 I recommend it highly.
