Hi everyone. Now that I've responded to some of the 83 chile-head messages I got while on vacation, I can get to the important stuff - what I bought on the road.

As you know, I buy local hot sauces and such when I'm on vacation. Fun to try when I get home.

This year I bought less than usual, not that I didn't try to find stuff. I searched and searched.

In FL, at a place in St Pete called Peppers on the Pier (in The Pier), I found the following:

St. Pete Heat - a sauce from Richards Hot Sauces (the name of the company on the back of the bottle)
Gator Hammock Gator Sprinkle - Taylor Grocery, Felda, FL (I already have a jar of their sauce and love it)

In NC, I found a bottle of Castle Sauce (says it is a seasoning for cooking and also for steaks and hamburgers, chicken roasts and meatloaf!)

In Savannah, I bought a bottle of Jolly Roger Hot Sauce (Will Bleach Your Bones!)

In Pittsburgh, I got a bottle of Gourmet Sauces of Pittsburgh - Garlic Flavor (it has  Hot Sauce and Cayenne Pepper as the first 2 ingredients) and says it is for Wings and everything!

In the Strip District at a chinese grocery called Lotus Foods (which was amazing), I got a jar of Huy Fong Chili Garlic Sauce. I adore their Sriracha so I had to try this (I think I have in the past but wasn't sure).

And Yes, I did go to Primanti Brothers and the 3 of us gorged on their sandwiches, which I sprinkled with the hot sauce! Soooooo good. Man that place rocks!

BTW, in Ritzy Lunch, in Clarksburg, VA, they actually have a salt shaker on each table that is filled with chili powder! I was thrilled. They also have a jar of hot pepper flakes on each table. Nothing to look at but the hot dogs and their Giovanni Hamburgers (that is what they call them) are out of this world delicious (Found the place in the Road Food book).

Glad to be back home so I can try all my finds!
