First of all, the Chile Pepper Institute has their 2010 catalog up, and as promised, they have Heritage Big Jims as well as NuMex Heritage 6-4s, grown out from seeds archived many years ago, so they have the flavor and pungency of the peppers old guys remember. Tough Love probably has these seeds too. Secondly, Grist of Jan. 15 carried a story by Gary Nabhan, reporting drought in the Middle East is diminishing the supply of peppers such as Urfa and Maras peppers from Turkey, and the Halaby peppers in Syria. The Chile Woman has Aleppo peppers now from Syria. Does anyone know a seed supplier of Halaby, Maras or Urfa? TIA, Margaret L
