I don't think I've ever tried sardines. My father was a fan of smoked oysters with Tabasco sauce. Probably because Tabasco was the only thing readily available in those days. He appreciated hot food. I think that if he were still around he would have a vast collection of good sauces. He could make some mean ceviche!
