I was at Mackey's Farm on Route 519, and I was there for local produce. While I was looking at the heirloom tomatoes and all the varieties of chiles they had (no interesting varieties but more than jalapeno), and the amazing Donut Peaches, Steve was looking at the line of McCutcheon sauces they carry. He came up to me with two bottles of hot sauce - Vidalia Onion Hot Sauce and Three Pepper Lemon Hot Sauce. I told him the Vidalia one is probably very sweet as it is a vidalia which is sweet. The other I had never heard of and it was mainly Tabasco peppers but also Green Chile and lemon juice, which I found interesting. I told him to take a bottle. So for $3.50 we took it home. I opened it today and tried it on my finger. Very good. Nice heat, a lemony tang, and really good. Tonight I put it on chicken and we both liked it a lot. So, we'll be going back for more of the heirloom tomatoes and more of the sauce. Just wanted to pass it on for those who live in the area - they may want to check it out. McCutcheon sauces are from Frederick, MD, not NJ. They also make relishes and other canned items. RisaG
