I hope the links work. No. 3 has the image which at this point just looks like another field. Raven in Santa Fe (who may still be in this group) got me interested in Kiva several years ago. I've lent money for cows in Mongolia and pigs in Peru and lots of other agriculture stuff like seeds & fertilizer, but this is the first loan I've made to chile growers. I don't know how many times I've recycled my $125.00 in $25.00 increments, but every loan has been repaid and it's fun to know you might be doing some good in the world. If any of you have an extra $25.00 sitting around, check out the other links and join Kiva. You won't be disappointed. Dave TLCC Subject: Fwd: Kiva update on your loan to Asociacion DeProductores De Coquital Group in Costa Rica Dear Dave Anderson, This is an update on your loan to Asociacion De Productores De Coquital Group in Costa Rica. The loan consultant who recently went to visit this group reports that things are going well. The production of peppers requires an initial period of roughly 2 weeks whereby small pepper plants grow to a certain size before being transplanted to the fields. In the picture, you can see this groups plants, which are now 22 days old and have recently been planted on their plot of land. The members of this group have followed the agricultural advice they received regarding the spraying of plants with various nutrients. Assuming everything goes well in the coming months, the members are hopeful that they will be able to harvest their peppers in November. During this period, a representative from Fundación Mujer will be making another field visit in order to report back to you lenders on the progress of the harvest. Additional notes from Kiva: 1.
