Today, as I was shopping at a most excellent emporium of chiles, spices and other good stuff, I saw that Melinda's hot sauces now has a jolokia sauce. I always associated Melinda's sauces with better than average flavor, but never were they linked up in my mind with those producers whose product bore names with the words "death", "agony", "ultimate", "insane" and so on. I did not feel like parting with the $8.99 that it would have been necessary to come up with at the time, but I am curious to know if anyone on this list has succumbed to the temptation and sampled the beast. I sometimes consider myself an extremist when it comes to hot, but I guess I've seen too many videos of foolhardy consumption of Naga Morich (or whatever the Jolokia is calling itself at the time) to summon up the cojones to give it a go. I am curious, though, about the taste and maybe there are concoctions that can give some idea of the flavor without sending me to places I'd rather not visit. Maybe this is one.
