[CH] Open Fields 2011- 1st notice

Well, my apologies for not having stopped by much. Life is busier than
you can imagine, but we all have our excuses for not being in better
contact with those we value.
I've received news of late that has motivated me to do the Open Fields
this year. Life is short, eh? Don't read any more into that other
than we need to take every advantage we can to have fun with friends :-)
And so... drum roll please... let's start the planning for OF 2011 for
the dates of October 7 (or a few days before) through October 9th (or
a few days after) ;-) I understand that this is later than normal but
we're really not concerned about the weather since there'll be no
chiles :-)
UNDERSTAND that there will be NO CHILES!! I've planted none & it is
too late to do so at this point. "BYOC" eh? Maybe if folks bring
their own bucket of chiles, we'll dump them all out on a tarp and have
one *heck* of a game of twister as we scramble for them :-D This will
truly be an "Open Field". And y'all may be congratulated for having
beat me up enough to give in ;-)
Drop me a note if you plan on sitting out in a grassy field, eating
stuff & hanging out with friends. For YEARS y'all have told me "it
ain't about the chiles." Maybe it has finally sunk in :-D
At least I'm no longer an "evil corporate type" :-) :-D
