Hi Coyote! Authentic Mexican food can be had in S. Tucson. Alphonso's
Carnitas Jalisco, 2801 S. 6th Ave. (520) 882-7985. It's an old part of
town but don't let that scare you away. I've been in their kitchen and
everything was made from scratch, except the tortillas...I think. While
you're in the vicinity, visit the 1896 St. Augustin Cathedral, the
Montijo House, America West Gallery, Soza-Carrillo-Fremont House Museum
and take a tourof La Suprema Mexican Foods. That ought work up a chile
appetite!
