Where do you get food-grade 200 proof ethanol (or for that matter, any
grade of 200 proof ethanol)?
I thought at ethanol concentrations above the eutectic point of
ethanol/water (somewhere around 180 proof?), nasty solvents like benzene
had to be used to separate out the water. And little though it might be,
any optional benzene residue isn't something we want in our food nowadays.
