[CH] odd lots/big lots changes?

Pods,

I recently browsed the local odd lots store for anything of interest, and
found the food section to be much smaller.  The only things of remote
interest were a small selection of large cans of green chiles and some hot
pickled vegetables and peppers.  No more rows of failed chile product
lines, of obscure-label canned chiles, or overstocked sauces.  

A few rows that used to have foods now have luggage and other items.  Is
this happening in all of the stores, or it just ours here?  Darn I would
hate to lose this occasionally handy resource.
