[CH] Storing Poblano Peppers

Hi gang!

I am relatively new to the list, but not to enjoying
chiles! I have started a garden this year and seem to be ready
to harvest a fair amount of poblanos. Since the weather cooled
here in Texas, they started blooming rather well!

I was wondering if you could suggest how I might go about storing
the poblanos, once I take them off the plant? I hate for them to
go to waste, in case I can't use them all at once. Can they be
frozen or will it affect the taste/texture? Should I just dry
them to make anchos, etc? Any help here would be much appreciated!

I also looked in a handy book "The Chile Pepper Book" and found
that they should be about 3" - 6" inches before cutting them off
the plant. Does that sound about right?

Thanks in advance for your help!

Sincerely,
