Just had a look at that oz chile site
http://www.aussiehot-headz.com.au/list.htm. Posting a note to the list
seems legit to me but those prices are waaaay outta line.

Just yesterday I picked up a bottle of Econa West Indian Original Hot
Pepper sauce at Coles - you know, the one with 2 habs on the front. An
attractive red-orange colour with medium viscosity and smooth texture.
Imported from the Caribbean.

Ingredients listed (in order) as Scotch Bonnett and habanero peppers,
spirit vinegar, onion, salt, corn starch, spices. Flavour might have a
slight vinegary tone for some of the connessieurs (ignore spellign) on the
list but man o' man righteous heat and excellent hab/SB taste. And only
A$2.60 for 140 ml at Coles so don't even try to say we have to spend $10-15
to get good hot sauce in Oz. And $6 for Australian made pickled jals? ah
you one great kidder, mon, betta be one large jar.

label info for Econa - bottled in the UK by Enco Products, Hatfield, Herts
AL9 7HF. Imported by Capital Foods, 28-32 Kintore Lane, Mile End SA 5031.

Had some last night on wallaby fillets - delish.

cheer y'all
Marc
