There have been a few postings lately about feeding wild birds
with suet cakes laced with chiles. In my experience, birds love
suet with chiles...habs, jalapenos, prik ki noos, whatever. There
are a lot of recipes for homemade suet cakes out on the web...
find one and add some chiles to it. I generally use chopped
dehydrated chiles, but fresh or frozen ones would probably work.
Just add them in moderation to suet cake recipes. No
guarantee however, that squirrels won't find the chile-laced
suet cakes enticing too.
