A guy by the name of Jerry Baker Had a book "Plants are People Too," I think chiles esp follow that rule. If the soil is to cold for you to walk in in your barefeet, in the garden, it's too cold, If you have to strip because it's too hot, chiles don't like it either (blossom drop esp)
