The reason you use a warm white and a cool white in the same fixture is to
give the light spectrum needed for growing plants. Only the Grow lights are
full spectrum, Mixing a cool and a warm white gives that near full spectrum.

The flourescent lights do not give off infrared. This can be suplimented
with an incandest bulb.

And please do not use Dr. Gareths intital light set up; distance from the
plants; 2" (in) (inches) does not equal 2 m (meters)

Heat mats, very definate plus for seed starting, 85F (30C) = ideal: A cheap
mat is an adjustable heating pad; us a thermometer to adj and monitor the
temperature, Place a plastic bag over it to keep the water out.
