Musta been a Maine Brown Bear. (Before Kit and Mary yell at me, I'm being
facetious. I know there ain't no browns in Maine). That's about the right
dimensions for a Black but cub size for an Alaskan Brown which runs around
1500 pounds and stands 12 to 15 feet tall when he wants to get your
attention. Alaskan Browns are the same critter as the Grizzly (Ursus
Inyerfaceus). They just grow bigger on a diet of salmon and cheechakos.

I haven't been thru Anchorage in a while but they used to have a full size
stuffed Brown in the main concourse at the airport. Just the thing to walk up
on after onea them 5 drink flights from Seattle. :)
