I thought that chocolate was basically cocoa that was combined with
cocoa butter, sugar, milk, etc.

The epicurious dictionary has some very good writeups of chocolate,
cocoa, Mexican Chocolate, etc.

Interestingly, it says that Mexican chocolate has cinammon in it.
Also, that baking chocolate was unsweetened.
