Here in Oz we would call that Bali Belly, In the southern parts of the
US of A You would probably call it Montezuma's revenge.. 
Sounds like you got a dose of germs from Food that was poorly
refirgerated, or handled ..
The less said about this the better..
I have a Aussie mate living north of San Francisco who picked up a
similiar bug in Central Africa 25+ years ago and still suffers,
First cold beer He drinks is on The Can (Toilet) - RELIGEOUSLY..
He can drink soft drink or other Alcoholic beverages cold andhas no
problems..
