The chances of them being Red Savinas (tm) are pretty slim. There are only a few commercial growers of them that can (legally) supply in any quantity. In my experience from having grown both the main differences are: RS- darker red, smaller, hotter, thicker, fruitier Carribs- larger, lighter colored, slightly milder, more wrinkled, elongated. -Jim C MWPH
