I weigh in on the side of the habanero, with other favorites including the rocoto, cayenne, and RED jalapeno (not green). Sometime the heat of a habanero is just not appropriate for a given dish, even though the flavor would be perfect. Oh well... Life ain't perfect, but peppers come close :)
