Hello fellow planters from rain soaked VA - zone 6

I decided that I might try planting by the almanca this year to see if
my vegies grow better. But how confusing can this be??

I purchased one almanac that lists our last frost date as April 10
(Gardener's Companion - The Old Farmers Almanac) the other lists April
13 (Blum Farmers and Planters Almanac). I know that our last frost date
was May 11. According to the Gardners companion, I am too late to plant
anything (based n their map)and according to Blums I can still plant,
but because I have missed the days for this month, the first days that I
can plant again are June 1.

If I move my zone to the North Atlantic states (which includes VT, my
dates are more accurate.

Do any of you plant by the Almanac and which one do you find to be more
accurate or should I just do it my way ?

Thanks,
Angel
